One of the first major projects to mark the history of our company was, beginning in 1983, the construction of the famous Ferris wheel known as the “Dallas Star”, one of the most iconic attractions in the city of Dallas, Texas.
The Importance of the Project
Located in Fair Park and inaugurated in 1985, the Dallas Star is one of the largest Ferris wheels in the world, with a height of approximately 64 metres. Several hundred tons of steel were used to build this majestic structure, which still remains a landmark during the annual Texas State Fair.
Engineering Challenges
Our company contributed its experience and expertise to the production of the steel supporting columns for this remarkable Ferris wheel. This project not only represents a significant contribution to one of the city’s main tourist attractions, but also testifies to our ability to take on complex engineering challenges and deliver work of great responsibility.
We are proud to have helped make the Dallas Star a reality and to have contributed to a structure that continues to bring joy and wonder to millions of visitors every year.
