The Brenner Tunnel, also known as the Brenner Base Tunnel, is one of the most ambitious and significant infrastructure projects in Europe. This rail tunnel, which will connect Italy and Austria, is set to become one of the longest tunnels in the world once completed, scheduled for 2032.
The Importance of the Brenner Tunnel Project
With a length of approximately 64 kilometres, the Brenner Tunnel is intended to significantly improve rail transport between northern and southern Europe. Its construction represents not only a technological advancement, but also an important step towards greater sustainability in European transport.
Structural Works
In 2007, our company contributed to the development of this project by manufacturing structural steelwork for the construction of the tunnel. These structures were designed and produced with the utmost precision to guarantee long-term safety and durability, essential requirements for an infrastructure project of this scale.
Working on a project of this magnitude required close attention to detail, careful project scheduling and a constant commitment to meeting the highest standards of quality and safety.
We continue to look to the future with the aim of contributing to infrastructure that improves mobility and sustainability.
